Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As the author responsible for this submission, I declare that I have read and fully accept, on behalf of all authors, the Author Guidelines and the Editorial Policies of Noemica Journal; that all authors have approved the content, the authorship, the order of authors and the submission; and that the required documents have been duly completed and signed.

I further declare that all authors hold a valid ORCID iD, provided in their journal profile and in the submission metadata, as a mandatory editorial requirement of Noemica Journal.

Articles

A seção Artigo recebe trabalhos científicos originais e inéditos, alinhados ao escopo da Noemica.

São aceitos, entre outros:

  • pesquisas empíricas quantitativas, qualitativas ou de métodos mistos;
  • artigos teóricos;
  • artigos metodológicos;
  • estudos de caso;
  • revisões sistemáticas, de escopo, integrativas, narrativas, críticas, bibliométricas ou cientométricas;
  • metanálises;
  • outras modalidades reconhecidas de pesquisa ou revisão científica.

Como parâmetro de referência, recomenda-se que os artigos apresentem entre 3.000 e 8.000 palavras, excluídos título, resumos, palavras-chave, referências, tabelas, figuras, declarações editoriais e materiais suplementares.

As estruturas poderão ser adaptadas à natureza do manuscrito, ao método empregado e à diretriz de relato científico aplicável.

Experience Report

A seção Relato de experiência recebe trabalhos originais e inéditos que apresentem, analisem e discutam uma experiência profissional, educacional, organizacional, comunitária, institucional, tecnológica, de gestão ou de intervenção.

O relato de experiência não deve se limitar à descrição cronológica de atividades. O manuscrito deverá apresentar:

  • delimitação clara do contexto;
  • problema, necessidade ou oportunidade que motivou a experiência;
  • objetivos;
  • fundamentação teórica ou técnico-científica;
  • descrição dos procedimentos, estratégias, recursos e etapas;
  • caracterização dos participantes, instituições, territórios ou grupos envolvidos, quando aplicável;
  • resultados, efeitos, produtos ou aprendizados observados;
  • evidências utilizadas para sustentar as conclusões;
  • análise crítica à luz da literatura;
  • limitações, dificuldades e condições de implementação;
  • implicações para outros contextos, práticas, organizações ou políticas públicas;
  • contribuição científica, social, metodológica ou profissional.

O texto deverá distinguir fatos observados, interpretações dos autores e evidências utilizadas. Sempre que aplicável, deverão ser informados os procedimentos empregados para registrar ou avaliar a experiência, como observações, documentos, indicadores, questionários, entrevistas ou registros institucionais.

Não são considerados relatos de experiência adequados:

  • textos exclusivamente descritivos;
  • depoimentos pessoais sem análise;
  • relatórios administrativos;
  • apresentações institucionais ou promocionais;
  • descrições de projetos sem resultados ou aprendizados;
  • narrativas sem fundamentação e contribuição identificável.

Como parâmetro de referência, recomenda-se que os relatos apresentem entre 2.000 e 5.000 palavras, excluídos título, resumos, palavras-chave, referências, tabelas, figuras, declarações editoriais e materiais suplementares.

By making a submission, authors declare that they hold the necessary rights over the manuscript and any materials included in it, and that the publication does not infringe upon the rights of third parties.

Privacy Statement

This Privacy Statement describes how Noemica Journal handles the personal data of authors, reviewers, readers, and other users, in accordance with Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Lei nº 13.709/2018 — LGPD).

Data collected

We collect name, email address, institutional affiliation, country, ORCID (when provided), and other data submitted during registration, manuscript submission, or peer review. Technical access data (IP address, date and time) is also logged for security purposes and platform usage statistics.

Purpose of processing

Data is used exclusively for the purposes of this publication: managing the editorial workflow, communicating with authors and reviewers, generating usage statistics, and complying with legal and editorial obligations. Data is not shared with third parties or used for any other purpose.

Legal basis

Processing is based on the performance of the editorial process requested by the user (registered author, reviewer, or reader) and on compliance with legal obligations applicable to scholarly publications.

Retention

Data is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above and to preserve the scientific record. Data linked to a published article (authorship, affiliation, ORCID) may be retained indefinitely as part of that record.

Cookies and technical logs

The platform uses essential session cookies for authentication and audience-analysis cookies (Google Analytics) for aggregated usage statistics. These are not used to individually identify users for marketing purposes.

Sharing

Data may be shared with technical infrastructure providers (hosting, backup) strictly to operate the journal, under the same confidentiality principles described in this statement.

Data subject rights

Under the LGPD, data subjects may request confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization, or deletion of their data, to the extent compatible with preservation of the scientific record. Requests can be sent to editor@noemicajournal.org.
