Open science, science communication, and commitment to society
Abstract
This editorial introduces the first issue of Noemica Journal, a periodical linked to NEOGEP (IFSP), explaining the origin of the journal's name, from the Greek noēma, and its commitment to scientific communication within the Brazilian and Latin American academic community. It outlines the journal's three thematic axes - Human Processes, Organizations and Governance, and Public Policy and Sustainable Development - and situates the prevalence of artificial intelligence articles in this issue against the 2024 academic landscape. It thanks the contributors to the inaugural issue and invites researchers, professors, and undergraduate and undergraduate-research students to submit their work.
